I spent a decade in the hospital system treating the aftermath of preventable disease. Now, I’m building the architecture to help patients get the care they deserve.
For ten years, I worked as a Hospitalist. My days were spent at the bedsides of patients facing the end-stage consequences of preventable diseases. I saw firsthand how the “15-minute visit” model and the “pill for every ill” culture were failing the very people they were meant to protect.
Eventually, I reached a breaking point. I realized I couldn’t keep treating the “end of the story” while the root causes—the biology, the habits, and the stress—went ignored. I was burnt out on a system that prioritized transactions over transformations.
I founded Lifestyle Care to be the antidote. I’ve traded the hospital rounds for a concierge partnership where I finally have the time and space to treat and teach.
My Philosophy: Treat and Teach
I don’t believe in shame-based dieting or willpower-only strategies. I believe in Accountability through Acceptance. At Lifestyle Care, we start by accepting exactly where your biology is today—without judgment. From there, we build. My role is to be your Medical Architect, showing you how to make the small, intentional tweaks to your daily rhythm that align your habits with your ideal health.
When you understand the why behind your biology, you stop fighting your body and start leading your own health journey.
The Architecture
Our work together is built on a foundation of six core pillars. We align these areas to ensure your results are permanent:
01.
I am a double board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine. My clinical training began at Morehouse School of Medicine, followed by residency at Emory University.
02.
But I also believe that medical care should be as authentic as it is authoritative. When I’m not in the clinic or managing telehealth for patients in Georgia and Florida, I’m co-hosting the Symptoms and Side Eyes podcast or working on my upcoming book, Die Diet Die.
I’m here to give you the clinical oversight of a specialist and the straight-talk advocacy of a partner who has “seen it all”—and knows a better way forward.
