A 12-week, physician-led group program where clinical precision meets the kind of accountability that only comes from doing the work alongside people who understand exactly where you are.
Led by Dr. Deniece · Double board-certified in Internal Medicine & Obesity Medicine

12-week program · Small group
You’ve done the programs. You’ve tried the apps. You’ve struggled through 30-day resets and watched the results disappear by Day 45.
“The loneliest part? You’ve been doing most of it alone.”
Tracking macros at midnight by yourself. Talking yourself back from the edge of a binge with no one who gets it. Feeling like the only person who can’t seem to make this stick.
The problem was never your dedication. You were missing two essential things: the right clinical strategy for your specific biology, and people who understand your exact struggle showing up alongside you every week.
The Alignment Lab was built to solve both.
Most group programs are a curriculum handed to you with a community tacked on. Accountability through obligation. Motivation through comparison. Results that stop the moment the group chat goes quiet.
The Alignment Lab is a physician-led clinical program that happens to have a community built into it. Not the other way around.
| Category | What you've tried before | The Alignment Lab |
|---|---|---|
| Who's leading it | A coach, influencer, or automated program | Dr. Deniece — double board-certified physician, every session |
| Medical oversight | None, or a name on a letterhead | Active clinical management including medication if appropriate |
| Your biology | One-size-fits-all approach | Personalized strategy from Day 1 |
| Between sessions | You're on your own | Physician Q&A access + peer community support |
| What you leave with | A meal plan that expires | A permanent understanding of your own biology |
| Accountability | Willpower | Dr. Deniece + a cohort who started where you are |
The 12 weeks are organized around the 6-Pillar Framework. Focus shifts between each pillar, then layered together until alignment is your default, not your effort.
Each cohort will have a different focus determined by group members. Sample timeline below.
WEEK 1
Before anything else, we understand your biology. You complete your 1:1 intake assessment, and Dr. Deniece reviews your individual clinical picture. The cohort meets for the first time. You’re not starting over — you’re starting right.
WEEKS 2–3
We dismantle the rules you’ve been following that were never built for your body. No restriction. No calorie obsession. You’ll learn what your specific biology actually needs to feel full, maintain energy, and stop the food noise — and practice it with the group for accountability.
WEEKS 4–5
This isn’t about burning calories. It’s about protecting the muscle mass that drives your metabolism. We reframe exercise entirely — what it’s for, how much is enough, and how to make it non-negotiable without making it punishment.
WEEKS 6–7
Two pillars together because they are inseparable. Cortisol is keeping you from losing weight. Poor sleep is driving hunger you’re misreading as a craving. We give you the nervous-system tools to make recovery a clinical priority, not an afterthought.
WEEKS 8–9
Dr. Deniece reviews your progress data, adjusts your medication protocol if needed, and addresses any side effects or plateaus. We also address hydration as a metabolic lever — not a wellness tip.
WEEKS 10–11
The six pillars stop being separate practices and become one system. We focus on what happens when life disrupts your routine — travel, stress, a bad week — and how to return to alignment without starting over. This is the work that makes results permanent.
WEEK 12
We don’t end the program and send you home. We build your personal maintenance protocol — the specific habits, check-ins, and clinical markers that will keep you aligned after the cohort closes. You leave with a living plan, not just a memory of 12 good weeks, and a 1:1 session with Dr. Deniece.
Applications are reviewed personally by Dr. Deniece within 48 hours.
In most group programs, “physician-led” means a doctor reviewed the curriculum once and signed off on it.
“This isn’t a program with a physician’s endorsement. It’s a physician running a program.”
In the Alignment Lab, it means Dr. Deniece is in the room. Running the sessions herself. Reviewing your intake data personally. Adjusting your medication protocol when your numbers call for it. Answering your questions in real time — not through an assistant, not in a monthly office hours call.
She is a double board-certified Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine physician trained at Morehouse School of Medicine and Emory University. She spent over a decade as a Hospitalist watching the end-stage consequences of metabolic disease. She built the Alignment Lab because she got tired of treating what she could have prevented.

The Alignment Lab is run by Dr. Deniece — a double board-certified Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine physician. She personally leads every session, manages every participant’s medication, and is actively present throughout all 12 weeks. Most group programs use a coach or a pre-recorded curriculum; this is a physician running a program, not endorsing one.
Group weight loss programs are clinically effective when they include physician oversight, individualized medical management, and a structured behavioral curriculum — all of which are built into the Alignment Lab. What makes most group programs fail is treating every participant the same; the Lab maps your personalized needs at intake so your clinical strategy is specific to you, even within the group setting.
Yes — the program fee covers all medication management including assessment, prescribing, and dosage adjustments. Dr. Deniece walks through your specific medication options and expected costs during your clinical intake, before you commit to anything. The program fee is HSA/FSA eligible.
Yes — patients who have previously tried GLP-1 medications and stopped are a particularly strong fit for the Alignment Lab, because the program is built specifically around the behavioral and metabolic work that makes weight loss last after medication ends. Dr. Deniece reviews your full history at intake and determines whether restarting, switching, or a non-GLP-1 approach makes the most sense for where your biology is now.
No — medication is never required, and many participants achieve strong results through the 6-Pillar Framework alone. Medication is offered where it is clinically appropriate and wanted by the patient, used as a tool to reduce food noise while the behavioral work takes hold — not as a default part of every protocol.
Yes — the Alignment Lab is fully available to patients in Georgia and Florida through telehealth, with all 12 sessions via secure video and medications shipped directly to your door. The only difference from in-person care is that telehealth patients use a local partner lab for bloodwork rather than visiting our South Buckhead office.
