1. Why has my weight loss stalled in the past?

Most weight loss stalls are caused by metabolic adaptation—your body’s natural defense against calorie restriction. At Lifestyle Care, we move beyond willpower by identifying your unique Phenotype. By using our 6-Pillar Framework, we align your biology and habits so you stop fighting your metabolism and start working with it.

We utilize Fitted Medical Advocacy to manage side effects through precision dosing and proactive clinical oversight. Side effects like nausea or fatigue are often signs of a biological misalignment. As a double board-certified physician, Dr. Deniece monitors your progress weekly to ensure your protocol is adjusted to your lifestyle, minimizing discomfort while maximizing fat loss.

No. Our goal is to use medication as a bridge while we build your permanent Habit Architecture. We focus on an exit strategy from day one. By strengthening your 6 Pillars—specifically nutrition and muscle-preserving activity—we aim to reach a maintenance phase where your biology is stable and you are in full control, with and sometimes without, long-term medications.

We use the InBody 270 Body Composition Analyzer to differentiate between fat loss and muscle preservation. Traditional scales are misleading. For Atlanta-based patients, we perform monthly InBody scans to ensure you are protecting your “metabolic engine” (muscle) while losing body fat. For telehealth patients in Georgia and Florida, we coordinate with local partner labs to track this same critical data.

Lifestyle Care is a Direct Primary Care (DPC) and self-pay practice; we do not bill insurance for memberships. This model allows Dr. Deniece to provide the time and space required for high-access care that insurance doesn’t cover. Most patients use their HSA/FSA for memberships, and your insurance can still be used for external labs, imaging, and prescriptions.

Yes. Dr. Deniece is a double board-certified Internal Medicine physician offering comprehensive Concierge Primary Care. You shouldn’t have to go to three different doctors. We provide a medical home where we manage your blood pressure, thyroid, and preventative health alongside your metabolic goals.
